I am a front-end developer from the Washington, D.C. area currently residing in beautiful Denver, Colorado. I've been employed in various agency environments for the past 15 years, working on web/interactive projects for a myriad of clients. My skills extend beyond web development into team management, project management, web design, and information architecture.
Throughout the years I've gotten to work with all kinds of clients, large and small, for-profit and non-profit, federal government and commercial, and small mom and pop businesses. My client list includes Starz Entertainment, Phish, National Geographic, The National Park Foundation, The World Bank, PepsiCo, and Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, just to name a few.
I don't think there has been a more exciting time to be a web developer. I am excited about the shift towards mobile and even more so the idea of "one web" as Jeremy Keith coined it. There is still much to learn and experiment with and that's what I love so much about this industry. If you are bored, you're not doing it right. There is so much opportunity out there right now. It makes me giddy.
If you've made it this far, you probably think I'm a giant geek and while I don't deny that, I do have other interests. I love love love to travel. I've been all over the world (thanks to a dad in the economic development industry). I've lived in Indonesia and Palestine and would love to someday go back to both. There are still way too many places I haven't seen. I really like SCUBA diving so a Thailand liveaboard vacation has got to be in the cards at some point and how can I not see Macchu Picchu and Patagonia?
If I'm not on the computer or dreaming of travelling, I'm probably training for a triathlon in the summer or snowboarding in the winter.
